MAGA right? Make America Great Again was the slogan, was it not? Well in case you missed it – Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory. Puerto Rico also pays Federal Taxes ( $3.742 billion in 2009). Someone needs to remind the President that Puerto Rico desperately needs to be made great again.
Since Trump announced his candidacy, he’s been at war with the National media. Starting with nicknaming the New York Times “the failing New York Times” to pointing at a CNN reporter during a press conference and directly accusing him of being “Fake News”. Little by little, news has become more divisive and ramping.
Already being criticized for belittling the disaster in Puerto Rico saying that that only 16 deaths (so far) is something to be proud of, Trump seems to forget that Puerto Rico is a part of the country. At the very end of the video, President Trump says to the Governor of Puerto Rico, “On behalf of our country, I want to thank you” note – our country instead of the country suggesting that Puerto Rico isn’t part of the United States.
The President made some divisive remarks at a Luther Strange campaign rally in Alabama yesterday, criticizing former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and other NFL players for taking a knee on the sidelines during the National Anthem. Even going so far as to call them “sons of bitches”.
You’ve seen them. Red hats with white letters. “Make America Great Again” they say.
The Whitehouse should spin it like this. Barron Trump stole the President’s phone and retweeted this gif. Embarrassment averted, and the world still kind of respects our country. If only…
